## Unreleased

- New `/<paper>/metadata.json` (`MetadataJson`): arXiv metadata and URLs without building; `build` and `inferred` appear once the tree exists. `Prefer` is ignored.
- MCP `cite` returns `{ text, url, anchor }`; `url` no longer has a `#fragment`.
- MCP calls are rate-limited per caller IP instead of sharing one bucket.
- `.json` and `outline.json` with `failed` inferred fields are cached for 30 seconds, not immutably.
- Unversioned asset URLs use the unversioned cache policy and carry `Cache-Tag: paper:<id>`.
- Markdown front-matter `date` is the submission date as `YYYY-MM-DD`.
- `FigureJson.images` lists only a figure's own images, not its subfigures'.

Initial release.

- Drop-in proxy for `arxivv.org`, `export.arxivv.org`, `oaipmh.arxivv.org` and `rss.arxivv.org`.
- Every paper as Markdown (`.md`), JSON (`.json`) and plain text (`.txt`), versioned and unversioned.
- Outline, sections, references, figures and tables, and mirrored figure assets under `/<paper>/`.
- JSON `schema: 1`, with quality score and approximate token counts.
- Inferred metadata: TL;DR, contributions, paper type, entities, results, artifacts.
- `Prefer: wait=N` and `Prefer: respond-async`, plus `?wait=` and `?async`.
